El Puente was founded in 2006 by Charles and Sarah Kaye, from very humble beginnings. What began as a biweekly Sunday worship gathering has grown into a multifaceted mission base. The church represents only one facet of its varied ministries serving Granada and the surrounding communities. Activities currently include La Roca youth group, men's and women's weekly Bible studies, Sunday worship service that includes a children's church, a Christian, bilingual school in the neighborhood of Pantanal and the ever expanding sports ministry. In addition, the Kayes were instrumental in bringing Vida Joven, Young Life, to Granada, and host its oldest club at the church building. El Puente also gladly opens its doors to other ministries to accommodate them in their need for a meeting space. It is clear God is working in Granada and we are blessed to have the opportunity to join in what He is doing.

Meet Our Founders
Charles and Sarah Kaye
Charles and Sarah Kaye moved to Granada, Nicaragua from Charlottesville, Virginia in September 2006. Before entering missions, they both worked in finance and investments in Charlottesville and New York, where they met and married in 1996. Their work in Granada is based around the El Puente mission base and the Granada Christian Education Center, both of which they founded after clearly following God's direction in their lives. Their two children Banks (’97) and Willa (’99) call Granada their second home, while currently living in Virginia. Charles and Sarah are also serving as the Serge: Grace at the Fray (mission sending organization) team leaders for the team in Granada.
